How does it work and what does it mean? The MD5 Hash-Code is a non-reversable representation of the source, so it`s theoretically impossible to calculate a sequence of characters (that also have to make sense) resulting in the same MD5 Hash-Code. And since nobody will write those 32 characters on their body, I shortened it to a CRC-32-Code (checksum). You could go from the text to CRC-32 directly, but that wouldnt be as secure (even if its fairly unlikely to come up with a meaningful text, you could easily calculate a text with the same checksum).
